Anti-reflective coatings

The so-called multi-layer interference system is used for the anti-reflection coating. In this process, light waves are forced to turn off each other. By overlaying several levels, it is achieved that the specific light waves are no longer let through and accordingly can no longer cause reflections.

The intensity of the anti-reflective coating depends on the number of layers applied – the more layers, the stronger the anti-reflective coating. Gradations from a simple to a super anti-reflective coating are possible. The super anti-reflective coating causes a reduction in reflection of almost 100%.

Because the applied layers become one with the glass, they are totally imperceptible to the wearer. The visual comfort is therefore not disturbed. The layers even improve the light transmission of the glasses!
